A circular limekiln is shown on an OS 1st edition mapping. Modern aerial photography suggests that the kiln may have been incorporated into the side of a modern building. The cliff tops to the south and the fields to the east of the landing place are annotated with several 'Old Coal Pits' and 'Old Culm Pits'.
