Event and Historical Information:
The ANT was a wooden sloop built in 1818 at Pwllheli. Technical and configuration specifications are given as 20 2850/3500 tons burthen. 1 deck, 1 masts, length is 35.2ft, breadth 12.1ft, depth in hold 6.2ft, sloop rigged with a standing bowsprit, square sterned, carvel built. At time of loss, the vessel was owned by Henry Parry of Dydysceiliog. The sloop's Port of Beaumaris Shipping Register entry is closed with the annotation 'Nevin 22 Feb 1869. Sir, Will you please cancel the Certificate of Registry of the ANT, 25 32/94 tons, the same was lost with the vessel at Abergele about 25 years ago.
