The remains of this aircraft are designated as a Controlled Site under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986. Event and Historical Information:
This Hurricane was assigned to the Training Ferry Pilots Pool (TFPP) and being flown by 2nd Officer Percival John Collins, Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA). It was heading for RAF Dumfries, when it collided with high ground (Bryn Adda Flats, Ruabon Mountain) whilst flying in poor visibility (snowing at the time).
