Event and Historical Information:
The PACIFIC was a wooden schooner built at Aberaeron in 1827. Technical and configuration specifications are given as length 66.2ft, breadth in midships 15.2ft, depth in hold in midships 8.3ft, 1 deck, 1 masts, sloop re-rigged as a schooner, rigged with a running bowsprit, square sterned, carvel built, fiddle head. At time of loss, the vessel was owned by consortium drawn form Fishguard and Dinas, lead by William Laugharne (32 shares) who was also the master. The schooner's Port of Cardigan Shipping Register entry (6 in 1844) is closed with the annotation 'Lost at Hubberston Pill, 13 January 1860.'
