Description

Archaeological remains associated with the DIANA are not confirmed at this location, but may be present in the vicinity. This entry is for the Documented Loss of the DIANA on 12 February 1894.

Event and Historical Information:

The DIANA was a 132 net ton British wooden brigantine. At time of loss on 12 February 1894 the vessel was en route from Llanelli to Londonderry with a cargo of coal when it wrecked at Holy Island (Ynys Gybi).
