One of three engineering buildings designed by Bill Davies (as part of the Wyn Thomas & Partners Practice) on Newport Road. The West Building, built between 1989 and 1991, housed the civil engineering, mechanical engineering and energy studies departments of Cardiff University. Part of NPRN 31914 Cardiff University.
