Modern housing estate built 1990-1991 to the designs of PCKO Architects. Colquhoun states the site was provided by Swansea City Council for this American Plywood Association initiative that was ‘intended to demonstrate the benefits of timber-framed housing and to promote its use in urban regeneration […] The winning design produced a modular design solution that allowed for a high degree of repetition in the prefabricated timber frame whilst achieving the potential for considerable variety of building forms.’
