The BBC building was built in a classical and baroque revival style in 1899 as part of a grand boulevard that became Alexandra Road. Parts of the building were rebuilt by the BBC in the 1950s. 

Rosser Electronics Ltd was established by the sound engineer Doug Rosser and Dafydd Evans in 1967.The manufacturing company produced audio and studio recording equipment, the company’s office was in the old BBC building in Alexandra Road, Swansea. The business produced sound desks for companies such as the famous Rockfield Studios (NPRN 545106) in Monmouth and the Mayfield Studio in London.
