Situated in front of a rock outcrop on a level piece of ground half way up a south facing slop, Eglwys-y-Gwyddelod cairn circle is a ring of nine stones; the diameter of which measures approximately 7 metres. The northernmost stone is in fact two stones back-to-back, while the southernmost stone is the largest, measuring approximately 1 metre high and 0.5 metres across. Those to the north-west are only 0.2 metres high and 0.5 metres across.
