Blaenycwm County Primary School in Beaufort was built in 1991 following the closure of three smaller schools in the area. Blaenycwm Primary School caters for around 290 children aged 3-11 years old. The school building comprises two main wings and draws pupils from Nantyglo, Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale and Tredegar.
