Lower Chapel was originally built in 1810, then rebuilt in 1815 and again in 1857, still as a long-wall chapel like the original. Further rebuilding work took place in 1910, when the southern elevation became the main facade and a porch was added, transforming it into a Simple Round-Headed style chapel, of the gable entry type.
