Peniel Chapel was built in 1809, rebuilt in 1847, rebuilt again in 1864, and a vestry and manse added in 1885. The present building is Lombardic/Italian in style, of the gable entry type, and dates from 1864. A prominent feature of this Chapel are the large arches in the facade.
