Bwlchyrhiw Church was built in 1711 and remodelled in 1901. The current building is in the simple round-headed style of the gable entry form. The single story interior has the pulpit to the rear, flanked by a pair of pulpit windows and with stairs rising from both sides. Over the pulpit is a plaster pulpit arch and a painted panel with the inscription ' Molwch yr Arglwydd'. There are, unusually, only two blocks of pews with a central aisle.
