A small detached tip on the N end of a large agglomeration of tips associated with early C19 iron ore working at Pen-y-ffordd goch, and beyond the NW end of a long scouring channel. Approximately 20m E-W by 10m, 1.5-2m high, and convered in dense moorland vegetation.
