Description
The Pillar Stone on Mynydd Varteg Fawr is also known as the 'Dog Stone'. The cast iron memorial was set up in 1864 to commemorate the occasion when T. W. Kennard ? the builder of Crumlin Viaduct - accidentally shot his favourite dog, Carlo.
