Llanfihangel Court, a seventeenth-century house on a more ancient site (nprn 542), is located to the south-east of Llanvihangel Crucorney, about 6km north og Abergavenny. It is notable for the good-quality of its well-built seventeenth-century garden terracing and associated features (265892).
The kitchen garden lies about 130m south of the house and outbuildings. It was in existence by l822 and is thought to be of late eighteenth-century date. It is square, aligned north-west by south-east. The brick walls stand to their full height of about 2.5m, overgrown but intact, with an entrance on the north-west side.
On its north-west side there is a stone wall between it and the track to it, against the inner side of which is a barn. At the wall's north end is a brick cross wall with a ruined glasshouse against its south side. To the north of this is a former head gardener's cottage, now converted into a modern house (43212). The interior has been used as a market garden but is now under rough grass (air photos) obscuring any original layout.
