Description

Coedeva Junior and Infant School was built by the Cwmbran Development Corporation as aprt of the development of the Coedeva neighbourhood. Designed by the provate architect Stephen Thomas of Newport, the school opened in 1967. It differed from many of the otehr schools in the town by being formed of two-storey, steel-framed, ranges. Coed Eva Primary School was then established in January 2009 following the amalgamation of the junior and infant schools. It caters for boys and girls aged 3-11 years in a two-form entry school, including a Nursery. The school is part of the Federation of Blenheim Road Community and Coed Eva Primary Schools, with the schools sharing an executive head teacher and governors. On 1 January 2016 a fire destroyed the nursery and infants classrooms. In 2018 the school had 487 pupils.

After a fire in 2016, one range was demolished due to the extent of damage.
