As part of the development of Cwmbran New Town, and the neighbourhood system, the Cwmbran Development Corporation built health centres in a numer of the neighbourhoods between 1960 and 1967, including at Croesyceiliog. These are nearly all single storey, utilitarian brick buildings simailr to this example on Brynhyfryd Road.
