Description
Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1853 and rebuilt in 1873. The present chapel is in the Lombardic/Italian style of the gable entry type, to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool. The Royal Commission on the Church of England and Other Religious Buildings in Wales and Monmouthshire in 1905 record the chapel as seating 548, the sunday school 430, and the value as £4589. It also has an associated vestry and graveyard. Status (2011) in use as a chapel.
