DescriptionEglwys Crist Independent Chapel was built in 1842 and then rebuilt in 1861, in the Gothic style with a side-entry plan, to the design of architect Thomas Roger Smith of London. The chapel is built of polygonal local limestone with ashlar dressings, with a slated roof, broach spire and a timber framed clerestory. Eglwys Crist is now Grade 2 Listed as an architecturlly unusual building, designed to resemble a convential anglican church.
