The hospital at Llandrindod Wells was opened in 1881 under the title Llandrindod Wells Cottage Hospital and Convalescent Home. The building was multi-gabled, 2 storey building with a steepy pitched roof, stone mullioned windows, a verandah and decorative brickwork.
