Pentre-Celyn Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Chapel was built in 1820. The chapel was rebuilt in 1874, in the Romanesque style with a gable-entry plan, to the design of architect Richard Owen of Liverpool.. A chapel house was added in 1902. By 1995 Pentre-Celyn had fallen into disuse.
