CHERISH Project aerial photography for the Royal Commission, on 5th February 2018, identified a low, spread mound measuring approx. 20m diameter on sloping ground at the head of two minor stream valleys to the south of Walton West. The mound could concievably be a Bronze Age round barrow or prehistoric burnt mound. The improved pasture has been heavily ploughed over the years, but other low earthworks can also be made out in the vicinity.
