1. Primary Reference Number (PRN) : 8194. Summary :
Site of medieval chapelry to Llanarth parish, shown on Saxton's map of 1578 but apparently gone by the early 19th century. Bevan in 1924 mentions that 'grave mounds' could be seen at this location. The site occupies a coastal hillslope in an uncultivated corner of a field. The chapel may have been a Welsh foundation, Ceredigion remaining in Welsh hands during most of the 12th and 13th centuries, but may be later still - the Latin dedication suggests that it may be late.

2. CHERISH Project aerial reconnaissance for the Royal Commission on 4th July 2018, during the 2018 drought, recorded a circular cropmark beneath the mounded site of the former chapel, showing as a 35m diameter cropmark on the eastern side of the field boundary. This may be part of the original structure of the chapel site, or may indicate that the chapel was founded within an earlier circular enclosure or burial mound. Image refs: AP_2018_2073-74_01
