CHERISH Project aerial reconnaissance for the Royal Commission on 4th July 2018 recorded indistinct cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure, with rounded corners and an southern annex, in a field to the west of the main road in Bow Street village. The enclosure measures approximately 80m north-south and is bisected east-west by the modern field boundary. The cropmarks appear abraded, as if the buried ditches are steadily being removed by plough erosion. The rectangular enclosure could represent a prehistoric or Roman farmstead, or a medieval farm.
