Description

Tal-y-bont is a small village in the Conwy Valley and is named after the small bridge in the village which crosses the Afon Dulyn.

The village was recorded during Royal Commission & CHERISH Project aerial reconnaissance in drought conditions on 4th July 2018 (image refs: AP_2018_2256-8) to record a wide-spreading series of parchmarks in the fields surrounding the village. It was hoped some of these may show the course of the Roman road south of Caerhun Roman fort but no definite archaeological features could be identified among the many marks. These may warrant future investigation.
