Ysgol Ieuan Gwynedd was likely built in the 1960s, and does not appear on any of the four editions of OS 6-inch and 25-inch series. The school closed in 2017, and the site re-used for the new all-through school for 3-16 year olds - Ysgol Bro Idris (Y Gader catchment area) following amalgamation with Ysgol y Gader, Ysgol Gynradd Dolgellau, Ysgol Friog, Ysgol Brithdir, Ysgol y Clogau, Ysgol Dinas Mawddwy, Ysgol Llanelltyd, Ysgol Ganllwyd.
