Ysgol Nant Y Coed at Llandudno Junction is believed to have opened in 1971. The school closed in 2016 under Welsh Government's 21st Century Schools Programme and has since been demolished. Pupils merged with those of Ysgol Gynradd Maelgwn and transferred to the new purpose-built Ysgol Awel y Mynydd, which opened in September 2017. Former Nant y Coed school site could be turned into medical centre.
