Built in 1860. The Welshpool by-pass road has been built through the station site and a modern island platform built to the northeast of the original station buildings (nprn 54097). Most other buildings and structures relating to the station have been demolished, including the locomotive shed, goods shed, goods yard and signal box (nprn 43038).
