DescriptionA substantial late-medieval cruck-framed hallhouse with inserted chimney standing on a level site near Llanfihangel Nant Melan church. The subsequent development of the house has been complex. The 'downhouse' appears to have become a parlour c. 1600 but was downgraded to an outbuilding with the creation of a projecting upper-end parlour c. 1800. Part recorded in 1999 before the conversion of the downhouse. (2001.11.22/RCAHMW/RFS)
