DescriptionSubstantial three-storeyed house dating from the seventeenth century probably built by Richard Fowler, High Sheriff of Radnorshire in 1656. The house is a very early example of the central stair passage plan, significant features include the seventeenth century woodwork, in particular an ornate doorway with elaborate head, an original nailed door and a massive dogleg stair with square newels and pierced banisters.
