Site Record

Above the Wern-to farm to the south-east, a further small farmstead, Pen-y-boncyn, is a total ruin. The platform on which the house stood is sited across the slope of the hillside that descends westwards from Carneddau Hill, at O.D. 980ft. The stone-built house is said to have been of a central direct-entry plan and one-and-a-half storeyed. There was a stable-unit in range to the south.
