Description
Lower House farm is a 19thC, stone-built 2-storey house with an 'L' shape plan and passage-stair entry. There is an adjoining stone stable at the W.end with central entry and flanking windows opposite a lateral feed-manger frame, formerly for 3 horses.
A detached 19thC 3-bay timber-framed barn to the West is situated down-the-slope with further 2 bays storage over a double cart-house at a lower level. To the South of the house a detached 19thC 5-bay stone-built cow-house has a lateral feed-passage, formerly with tethering and manger and presently open to the north.
