Capel Gwyn Methodist Chapel was built in 1784, rebuilt in 1814 and modified in 1826. In 1839 the cause moved to Capel Peniel and the Wesleyan Methodists took over Capel Gwyn in 1840. By 2001 Capel Gwyn had been demolished.
