DescriptionA plaque above the front gable porch on Horeb Methodist Sunday School records that it was built in 1873. Originally a branch of Peniel (NPRN 8406), it is a simple stone-built gable-entry chapel constructed in the early-nineteenth century Gothic style. It has pointed openings with Y-tracery. The gable facade has a gabled porch with a wooden-boarded door and Y-traceried fanlight. The chapel enclosure is bounded by low stone walls. In 1995 Horeb was still in use as a chapel but by 2003 stood disused and boarded up.
