An area of limeworkings covers an area measuring some 650m (E-W) by 150m.
Positioned around patches of outcrop were noted at least 36 limekilns all of which are now entirely ruinous. Some survive only as heavily turfed-over, hollowed linear mounds which may represent early clamp kilns. Most survive to a height in excess of 1m.
No structural details are visible save some short lengths of drystone walling. Representative examples are located at SN68251833, SN68231840, SN68291848, SN68311846, SN68381847, SN68401850 and SN68431853.
