Description
In the cutting of Nant Fyda, on the south side of Mynydd Du, are the remains of banks and other structures, just upstream of structures described (under NPRN 84861).
Two linear accumulations of stones and boulders lie on the west bank and possibly constitute river flood defences. The northernmost (SN73491506) runs roughly parallel with the stream and measures 15.5m long, 1.5m wide and 0.4m high. The southern bank (SN73491503) is curvilinear and runs down the steep valley side. It measures 21m long, up to 3m wide and 0.5m high.
