Description
The independent cause in Cutiau was founded in the 1770s, but the first chapel not built until 1806. There were repairs carried out in 1866 and further renovation in 1912 when a new porch added. Cutiau Independent Chapel is built in the Simple Vernacular style with stone-rubble. The gable-entry has a small porch and is on the southwest end. The south-eastern long wall has two 12-pane sash windows under stone lintels. The chapel yard retains some headstones and is enclosed by a dry stone wall. By 1995 the chapel had fallen into disuse but by 2003 had been converted into a house.
