Description
The foundations of a rectangular building, modified by the later insertion of a limekiln and the addition of a rectangular enclosure, lie high up on the W side of the Twrch valley.
The building measures about 13m (NW-SE) by 5.4m overall and is defined by stony banks up to 0.3m high. It appears to have been subdivided into two compartments, and there is an entrance gap visible in the SW wall of the NW bay. A further sub-division, a cross-wall in the W bay, is probably related to the construction of the limekiln which was built over the NW end-wall and from which coal, burnt stone and lime have spread over the NW end of the building.
