Description

Two poorly-preserved buildings lie on the north-west bank of Nant yr Ysgwydd at 450m above O.D. (NPRNs 301469-70).
SN 78332223: positioned on a narrow terrace between the stream and its tributary, a split-level longhut measures overall 18.5m (NE-SW) by 5m with cross walls at roughly 6.5m, 10m and 12m from the south-west end; the closeness of the latter two vaguely suggest a cross passage. Walls average 1m thick and 0.6m high.
SN 78342228: 55m north of the above, a building with central cross-wall measures 6m (NW-SE) by 3m overall, walls spread to 1m wide and 0.4m high, and a small yard on the north-east.
