Description
1. On the highest point of Sand Hill at 445m above O.D. is a ring of inward-facing limestone blocks approximately 1.6m in diameter and 0.5m high. The summit is denuded limestone; wind-blown sand and some turf appear to have built up around the outside of the ring, particularly on the W. Possibly the remains of a pit-trap, in connection with Pant Mawr Rabbit Farm in which the site stands, but unlikely due to its exposed position, it is more probably the retaining kerb of a former cairn.
Site visited B.A.Malaws, 13 August 1987.

2. The coursed nature of the limestone blocks gives this feature the appearance of a pit trap which has been eroded, only the lower part surviving. It lies within Pant Mawr Rabbit Farm.
