Description
What is probably a hut circle lies on a slightly raised (probably natural) platform on the lower south-facing slopes of Moel Feity at 435m above O.D., on open moorland immediately north of a natural mound and on the west bank of a tributary stream of the Afon Tawe.
The platform measures approximately 16m in diameter and stands 0.7m high. The hut circle measures overall 6.2m east to west by 5.7m and is defined by a stony bank, containing several earthfast stones, between 0.8m and 1.5m wide and generally 0.3m high, although one stone on the south west is 0.8m high. There is some structural elaboration evident in the form of internal slab facings to the bank on the north and east with external facing also on the east. The bank is lowest on the south which was probably the site of an entrance.
