Description

Linear bank and large clearance cairns lie in improved pasture. It is not clear if this represents field clearance activity of recent date or ancient activity added to in the recent past.

The features all lie on a local summit which is enclosed. They comprise two discontinuous lines of banking (N and S) between which are scattered a number of cairns.
The banks are curvilinear stony strips. The cairns are stony mounds consolidated with light vegetation though some exhibit loose stones. Most cairns average 2m-4m across but the largest, atypical, example is about 15m across.
