DescriptionNAR SN91SE5
Located in a sadle surrounded by low hills is a round cairn measuring 9.8m in diameter and 0.8m high.
The cairn was excavated in the 1950s when the the mound was found to contain a boat-shaped enclosure within which was a disturbed primary burial associated with Overhanging Rim urn fragments. A secondary deposit, associated with the rebuilding of the cairn, contained fragments of a handled beaker. Subsequently the cairn was enlarged to a circular plan and incorporated a cist with cremation burial and pygmy cup.
