Description
Group of irregularly shaped cairns on the W and SW-facing slopes of Twyn y Moch, just below the summit at around 250m -260m above OD.
There are around 22 stone heaps of varying sizes. Most are small irregular spreads of stone. Others are much broader, up to 35m across or linear in character, up to 35m long. It is likely that some of these larger accumulations are of natural origin but may have been added to in the course of clearance for agricultural improvement.
The area is grassy, well-drained and relatively free of surface stone apart from some outcrop exposures.
