Carmel Independent Chapel was built in 1844, modified in 1860 and rebuilt in 1879. The 1879 chapel is built in the Classical style of the gable-entry type with a large arch in the facade, to the design of architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. By 1998 Carmel was in use as a Showroom.
