The congregation of Bethel Baptist Chapel was formed in 1850. The present chapel dates from 1913 and is built in the Perpendicular Gothic style with elements of Art and Crafts design that are typical for that date. The gable entrance front to the road is quite fine, elevated over a basement with entrance door, it has a three bay front. The sides have two-light gothic windows while the centre has a four-centred arch with a large three-light traceried window above, with a circular attic vent above that.
