1. A vernacular garden created over the castle site depicted on OS 25 inch plans of Brecknocks. It shows orchards, possibly terracing Listed as a castle by Cathcart King (1961, no.3,76).

2. This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XXIII, sheet 13 (1904). C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 8th August 2006.

3. The main features of the grounds and gardens are depicted on OS County series 1st edition (Brecknock. XXIII.13 1888). A carriage drive from the public road ends in a loop before the house (NPRN 25159) and stables (NPRN 31124). A path define a rectangular area on the east of the house. Another path loops around the base of the castle mound.
