This site was depicted on the OS 25 inch plans of Brecknockshire (1888, 1904 XLI, sheet 8). The house was demolished in the 1950s. The estate had geometric copses, lodges, a pond, picturesque walks in shrubberies and its iron gates were from Cwrt y Gollen. There was also water management on the stream draining to the W. THe house had conservatories and two walled gardens, both with glasshouses. T Lloyd, Lost HOuses of Wales 48. There is an unpublished desktop investigation by Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust c 1994, when the site was proposed as a caravan park.
