This site is depicted on the OS 25 inch plans of Brecknockshire 1888 and 1904 X sheet 13. It is built in a picturesque setting with a little plantation to the east and some short walks.

The grounds depicted on the early OS County series mapping are those of the resort hotel (NPRN 25417). Situated in these grounds are the wellhouse (NPRN 32177) and pumphouse (23174), constituting the spa itself.
